Artifact 1- Creating a Research Question
Every educator at some point or another, has had to do some research on educational topics. This articraft uses an online slide show presentation that explores some simple tips for creating a research questions. The presentation was originally created using Power Point, and then screencasted, and turned into a video presentation. Video presentations are very common in online training as they can provide a self-paced webinar.
Artifact 2- Geospatial Website
This website houses several artifacts created using Geospatial Technologies emphasizing the innovative use of maps, GPS, Arc GIS, and Augmented Reality in Education. The geospatial technologies presented on this website showcase classroom integration as well as usefulness in professional development. Maps were greated to show instructors training sites, as well as nearby commodities. Activities were created using Google Earth, Arc GIS, Google Maps, and Augmented Reality to develop higher level thinking and learning in the classroom.
Artifact 3- Review of Math Apps Website
This website was designed with teachers and parents as the key audience. Featuring a collection of free math web apps available online, the site encourages exploration of mathematical topics using web apps. Some apps are simple, touching only on one math concept, while others are more complex and explore a variety of mathematical concepts. The website was designed as a resource for teachers and parents in hopes of providing alternate learning opportunitites for students in math.
